Essentials 7

Interprofessional Collaboration for Improving Patient and Population Health Outcomes

Collaborating with other professionals may take some humility combined with confidence.  Applaud those that provide a better answer or a stronger technique.  Never be too proud to accept help from those that are younger or considered less experienced.  Knowledge can be found in all generations and with all professions.  Providing the best nursing care is done for the patient and not for self-promotion.  Everyone has a different vantage point, and this should be viewed as a benefit.  Collaborating with other students proved to test some.  There is always a procrastinator that challenges the control freak.  The English major that reformats something that the engineer created.  Luckily, the final products proved to be outstanding once everyone had their hand in creating it.

Group Wix Project Paper

This group project was to develop a website with information to help rural communities deal with Covid and depression.  This paper tells how it was developed and how we learned to use the Wix program for a teaching tool.

Road Safety in Haiti

This project was done in Canva and provides safety information on the roads of Haiti.  One of our instructors does mission work in Haiti and will use our projects as teaching material.  This project was done with Lisa Kruger and Rachelle Lindholm.

Healthcare in Canada

This was the first group project within the graduate program.  Lisa Kruger and Rachelle Lindholm helped look up how Canada differed in healthcare versus the United States.  It does not seem as though people would flock to Canada for healthcare.

Female Veterans and Suicide

This again was a group project with Lisa Kruger, Rachelle Lindholm, and Courtney Wright.  We developed a plan to perform research on female veterans and suicide.
